Santo Spirito Frescos by Mmega

The location is a real plus, a short walk from the Pitti palace, Ponte Vechio (about 10 minutes), piazzas, specialist shops, and loads of proper restaurants rather than tourist places. There’s also a spectacular wine shop next door, and it’s good value. The apartment has charm and quirks, plenty of space, and the meet service was very good. Just know it’s converted from the stables of a 15th Century Town Palace, so there are awkward paths and old painted-over plaster, with little natural light. It won’t suit anyone with accessibility needs or who wants everything neat, consistent, and predictable. The bathrooms are small and due for a refit, though the building’s age and layout don’t leave an obvious alternative. They aren’t pretty, but they work.
