Sleep Florence

We found the apartment just right for two, with a comfortable bed, peaceful nights, and a pleasant temperature. It was spotlessly clean, from the bathroom to the linens and towels, and tastefully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed, and all of it worked, including the Wi-Fi. The photos matched the place, and it felt like good value. The neighborhood felt safe, with an excellent location for getting around Florence on foot. Check-in was easy, and Matteo was friendly and helpful when we arrived and left. Thanks so much, we’ll come back!

Though it’s right in the center, the apartment was quiet. Restaurants, shops, and museums are all a 5-10 minute walk away. It’s comfortable and well laid out for four people, with two floors and king-size beds. The bathroom is small, but having an elevator in the old building was a real plus on the fourth floor. Matteo was quick and pleasant to communicate with, and gave us helpful advice and everything we needed. There was a refrigerator, hair dryer, bathroom supplies, coffee, sugar, and complimentary water. We also appreciated finding guidebooks for Florence travelers. Thank you, Matteo, for your care and hospitality. I recommend the apartment and hope we meet again.

I rented this apartment for two months and still never received an invoice for the cash I paid. I paid in cash because the apartment manager wouldn’t give me bank details for a transfer. He then refused to issue a tax invoice, saying he didn’t agree with paying taxes and wanted to take the money without declaring it to the tax agency, because he thought that was fair. Worse, the apartment was supposed to be available to me until February 2022, but it was sublet to tourists in June 2021 without my knowledge. I came back to find tourists outside my door and had to move quickly after already paying, despite my fragile health and an imminent, very delicate operation. I found the manager untrustworthy, dishonest, and unreliable. This conduct was incorrect and completely illegal.
