Starhotels Tuscany

Getting to and from the airport was easy, and the local tram was reliable. The restaurant was a good option when we didn't feel like going out. I thought the price was a little high for the quality, though. The room was incredibly clean and had thoughtful touches, including pillow choices, storage, and a tub or shower setup with a handle easy to reach from outside the tub.

The bed was the one real problem: it felt like a thin piece of foam laid over a wooden floor, the hardest I've slept on in 20 years of traveling. Such a shame, since the hotel otherwise has spacious rooms, a good location, and a nice breakfast. It's a great place if you can get a softer bed.

The rooms were comfortable, though a little dated, and public transport to the city centre took around 15 minutes. We had paid in advance for four nights, but a national strike affecting flights and public transport meant we changed our plans and left a night early to avoid getting stranded. The strike hadn't been confirmed when we booked. We politely asked if the hotel might offer a partial refund or some goodwill adjustment for the unused night, but they refused without any flexibility. The stay itself was fine, but their response to an exceptional travel disruption left us disappointed.

We enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend Starhotels Tuscany to other travelers. The staff were friendly and supportive, the rooms were nice, and breakfast was good. The hotel is especially convenient if you're driving in Tuscany: there's parking on site and it's easy to reach without having to drive into the city. A tram ride of about 10 minutes gets you to Florence's city center and its sights.
