We spent roughly three hours waiting outside the accommodation with all our luggage. The host hadn't contacted us with check-in details, and we couldn't reach them despite repeated calls, messages, and emails. After several hours, we contacted Booking.com. Their staff got in touch with the property, which then claimed it had already sent the self check-in instructions. The instructions only arrived after Booking.com questioned them. Because of the delay, we missed reservations we'd made in the city for after check-in. We arranged somewhere else to stay while waiting, since the poor service made us unwilling to stay there. The property also refused our refund request, even given the exceptional circumstances, while still expecting payment for a service it was so poorly equipped to provide. The host was extremely unreliable.

Getting to breakfast meant a five-minute walk to a nearby cafe with vouchers. It was nice, but not very convenient. There was also a lot of noise from nearby construction, and the stairs up to the second floor were hard work since there was no elevator. The location was good, close to the city centre. After heavy rain, though, the bathroom smelled bad. There were no towel rails, so we needed fresh towels every day.

Breakfast was good, with a coupon for a little coffee shop two blocks away. The location is the main thing going for the place. There isn't much in the room, but in a city like Florance, you're probably out exploring most of the time anyway.

The neighborhood felt authentic and relaxed, with nightlife and great restaurants close by. We had a perfect weekend in a comfortable, clean room and really appreciated the hospitality. We'll surely come back. Complimenti.

The host was caring and friendly, and we loved the cute room and breakfast. The location was great too. We'll definitely return.
