Hotel Vasari

It’s less than a five-minute walk from Santa Maria Novella train station. The building used to be some kind of religious place, which gives the rooms an interesting layout. I’m sharing with two other people, and our room is large, with a high ceiling and easy-to-clean tile floors. There’s a mini fridge under the desk and a closet safe that works and is easy to use. The bathroom is spacious, though we haven’t worked out how to lock its door. The beds are a bit too soft for me, but that may come down to personal preference. The towels are fluffy and seem quite new, and towel service is great. I like that the room uses an old-style lock and key instead of a key card, which can fail at the wrong moment. The AC is available and works, and the Wi-Fi is easy to connect to and works like a charm. It’s a very nice hotel, and I’d stay again.

We could walk everywhere from this classic, romantic hotel, which is close to the station and museums. It’s beautifully decorated and has a historic feel.

The location is amazing, close to the station and city center, with nearly everything nearby. The rooms are decent but small. The AC shuts off in the morning and is very weak at night. The bathroom is tiny too, and if you’re fat, you can’t get into the shower 😅

The breakfast buffet had enough variety to suit everyone, and the room was warm and clean. The bathroom and floor were clean, and the water was warm. I stayed one night in a first-floor room. I didn’t see the elevator, but the stairs were comfortable. Such a lovely, cozy place. I also loved that each room’s door had a different painted design.
