Paulo met us when we arrived, offered to carry our bags, and walked us through the apartment. He gave us keys for the safe, apartment door, and street entrance. He also marked places we asked about and restaurant recommendations on a city map, answered our questions, collected the city tax and cleaning fee, and left contact details in case we needed anything. Paulo and Samuel, who seem to be business partners and/or family, were both kind and nearby. I later saw Samuel helping another guest who was having trouble with her keys. The location was the big draw. We stayed in the Mini Suite at Via del Corso 12 Blue, just a block from Duomo and shopping and dining, with the historic sights within a 30 minute walk. The numbers are red for commercial addresses and blue for residential ones. I booked through Expedia and wasn't told which room we'd have until the day before arrival. I didn't understand how or when they assigned it, but we were pleased with the unit. It's on the fourth floor with no elevator, so expect to carry your luggage up. There's a street-facing main door and another gate a few stairs inside for security. The neighbors were quiet and barely noticeable, though we weren't in the room much. There is a wall safe, small but big enough for our passports, money, headphones, and a spare camera lens. The small balcony won't fit two people sitting side by side. There was a small espresso maker with cups, an air conditioner/heater, hot water without any issues, and a full set of dishes for eating in. The mattress was stiffer than we liked. It didn't bother me much, but my girlfriend woke up a bit sore. She'd still happily stay here again. We both recommend it for couples and anyone comfortable carrying bags upstairs.
