Villa Angela

Spent a weekend here in September with friends and colleagues. Such a lovely experience, a tucked-away place furnished with real taste.

The garden gives the villa remarkable privacy, even though it's centrally placed near Oltrarno in one of Florence's most authentic neighborhoods. I celebrated my fiftieth birthday here with a small group of friends, and some of us stayed overnight. The house gave the occasion a warm, special feeling, and its character and taste were a joy to experience. The four bedrooms are beautiful and quiet, with excellent mattresses and furnishings full of character. Common spaces feel welcoming and true to the home, with valuable original pieces. The restoration and furnishings bring in a sense of luxury while respecting the building's soul and keeping its character as a private home. Our stay is one we'll remember. The staff were helpful, and Giulia was an incomparable hostess who did her best to meet our needs.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying for a couple of days, and what a dream in the middle of Florence. The residence welcomes you with warmth, taste and elegance. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves Tuscany and this wonderful city.

They've started putting on carefully selected cultural events, with really interesting talks led by engaging experts. The place itself is enchanting, just beyond the historic center and almost on the Lungarno. An incredible house tucked behind a secret garden where everything feels magical.
