Villa La Stella - Casa per Ferie

I wouldn't recommend staying here. The rooms are very noisy from one to another, and several things were broken, including the shower curtain. The AC didn't cool properly, so I had to leave the window open at night. Then the sunlight woke me at 5:30 am.

I was in Florence for a work event nearby, so the location suited my reason for staying, though it's a little away from the usual tourist spots. Breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Alex from the kitchen was cheerful and lovely to have around.

The garden is lovely, though it feels like a missed opportunity that it's not used. The villa itself is beautiful, but its layout is awkward and inefficient. The location is nice, a reasonable distance from the city, and the bed was fine. The rooms, though, are very small, and we found lots of hair left by previous guests. Breakfast was a letdown. The croissants were good, but the rest of the choice was poor and limited. We arrived on time and there was only one piece of quiche left. The coffee was bad, the only fruit was apples and bananas, the yogurts were warm, and the juice was actually lemonade. Villa Stella has potential, but a lot would need to change to make staying here pleasant. I hope they take the feedback seriously and improve the facilities and service.

There were four of us on a family holiday, and we moved here after our first hotel didn't meet our standards. We were so glad we did. I loved the peaceful feel, the hillside city views, the hospitality, and the olive garden where we could walk. Downtown Florence was close enough while still feeling like a calm retreat. I'd very highly recommend staying here.
