Villa Royal B&B

This is a very old hotel, but it's been kept up beautifully. The rooms are huge, and the windows have mosquito screens, so you can let in the fresh night air while you sleep. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. The courtyard and pool are among the hotel's many charms. Even in mid-October, when it felt quite warm to us Canadians, we were able to use the pool. I'd recommend it if you're visiting Florence.

Lovely, impressive hotel with a palatial feel. It's not modern, and that's part of its charm. The beds were super comfortable, breakfast was an excellent buffet, and the welcoming staff are there at reception around the clock.

The room was spacious and nice, and the reception and breakfast staff were very kind. It's dog friendly, too. In summer, you can relax by the pool, and parking is included. It's a great hotel, about 10 minutes from the city.

The rooms were roomy, the bed was comfortable, and we had a street view. There's also a small elevator. The hotel feels old-fashioned but is neat and tidy, and the staff were excellent from check-in through breakfast. It's in a quiet part of the city, with a handy supermarket on the same street and a smart little bakery serving good coffee and pastries. I'd give the hotel 9/10.
