Being close to Foggia Station and having air conditioning were the only reasons this place got one star from me. I stayed four nights recently, and the accommodation badly affected my time in Foggia, even though the city itself is lively and pleasant, with interesting architecture and welcoming cafes and restaurants. The balcony was unusable: filthy, with bird droppings and rubbish everywhere. Inside, the toilet seat was broken, the WC smelled of urine, the shower hose leaked and was patched with black tape, the cubicle door was broken and hanging at the bottom, and the washbasin also leaked where black tape had been used. The breakfast was just the small basket shown in the photos. The elderly man who greeted me in the afternoon seemed pleasant at first, but check-in was done entirely through Google Translate, and he kept telling me to be quiet because someone was sleeping. He also showed me a little kitchenette down the hall with an old coffee and hot-water maker, and seemed to think it was impressive that two bottles of water in the fridge were free. I went to bed early and was woken around 23:30 by very loud talking and heavy boot steps. When I opened the door, two uniformed armed police officers were there. I asked them to be quiet because I was asleep. They were apparently going to work a night shift, so I understood why I'd been told to keep quiet. It needs to go both ways. I didn't have any more interrupted nights after that. I was given an emergency WhatsApp number. Twice I messaged because I'd run out of toilet paper and because the power went out, but no one replied. I had to buy toilet paper myself, and the electricity came back after a few hours. I also had to contact the number because the room notice gave the WiFi password but not the network name. That time, I did get a reply.
