The view is spectacular and gives you a feel for what the Italian countryside was like in the '60s. The place was an old farm, rebuilt for tourists. Guests share the garden and pool, as well as a common kitchen if their accommodation doesn’t have a private one. It’s my aunt’s villa, which she rents out.

I contacted the property manager to book a night using a “WonderBox” gift, and got complaints that they’d have to keep the heating on, which would cut into their earnings. That showed zero professionalism. If a property joins programs like “WonderBox,” I’d expect at least a basic level of professionalism and dignity.

A lovely place for even a short romantic weekend, or a few days with friends.
