Agriturismo Borgo la Torre

Andrea, one of the two owners, made a big impression on us. He’s down-to-earth, cultured, polite, sociable, and full of things to talk about. He also suggested places to visit nearby. The place itself is beautiful, all stone and wood, surrounded by greenery, quiet and relaxing. It really feels like home, only more pampered. The old-fashioned rooms have stone interiors and exposed wooden beams, with a warmth and sense of tradition. Breakfast uses only their own products and is served at one long shared table. You may or may not like that, but it’s a lovely idea. Dinner is available by request, and it was a great end to our stay. The barbecue meat was spectacular, and the zucchini on the side brought back so many memories just from the smell, like my grandmother’s kitchen. It’s a place worth considering, somewhere to visit at least once, even with its small flaws. I’m sure Andrea is doing his best to make Borgo la Torre what it should be. A little more attention to cleanliness and tidiness around the agriturismo and in the rooms could make it even better. Thanks for a peaceful weekend. We couldn’t have picked a better place.

Surrounded by woods, hills, squirrels, and horses, this farmhouse feels like another world. It’s a peaceful retreat in the heart of Umbria, with a welcoming family atmosphere and country-chic touches. The food and service were excellent, with local ingredients and traditional flavors. A lovely choice for a romantic weekend or a break from everyday stress.

You’ll need to travel several kilometers on an unpaved road to reach the property. Once there, though, it’s a fantastic place in nature with plenty of history nearby. Breakfast comes with the stay, and the owner also serves excellent lunches and dinners, traditional dishes made with local ingredients. We enjoyed lovely conversations with the owners and other guests. They know a lot and can suggest beautiful places in the area. It’s ideal for a few restful days in nature or as a base for exploring the surrounding art and breathtaking views.

The family atmosphere is the best part of this wonderful farmhouse surrounded by nature. I chose it for my son’s First Communion, and I’ll definitely be back!
