The pool is refreshing, and the deck is a great spot to sunbathe while listening to nature. Nights stay cool enough for a good sleep, though garden dinner parties can make weekends loud, so earplugs might help. The rooms were clean and the hotel was impeccable. Breakfast was always interesting and unbelievably tasty. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and easy to approach. Big thanks to Carlo Maria at reception for all the advice and luggage help, and for making us feel at home with his smile and warm professionalism. Berta and Giorgio made sure we had everything we needed each morning, too. We’ll definitely come back to this amazing mountain gem above Foligno.

We chose this hotel largely because it advertised air conditioning, but the AC in our apartment didn’t work, and it was extremely hot. When we tried to talk to Maurizio at the front desk, he had an outburst, slamming the phone and pushing it across the desk. His behavior was unprofessional and frightened my kids. When we first arrived, Maurizio barely acknowledged us, then walked away while we were waiting to check in. Someone in our party spoke to him in Italian, and that seemed to make him friendlier. He did speak English, though. He also made it very clear that he didn’t like Americans. A terrible experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, especially Americans.
