Park Imperial Hotel Terme

The breakfast was the weakest part of our stay. Most of the other guests were Italian, so there weren't many foreign visitors. We were in the main building in a lovely sea-view room, and the staff were really nice and helpful. The outdoor pool has thermal water and a stunning view of mountain Epomeno. They also run a transport service through the day to nearby Spiaggia di Citara.

The island is amazing, and from the hotel you can walk to nice beaches, restaurants, and bars. We also liked the very good included breakfast and found the staff really friendly. Our room was small, though, and the beds weren't comfortable. It was two singles pushed together to make a full-size bed, with separate sheets and bedspreads, which felt odd.

I've stayed here twice now, first for a week in September 2023 and then for 14 days with friends in July 2024. I liked it enough the first time to come back, and I felt very comfortable there both times. There are two pools, wellness facilities, good rooms, an outdoor bar with a weekly music program, and really good breakfast and dinner. Giardini Poseidon Terme is also close by for relaxing. The staff were kind and helpful all around. Rita at reception let me choose from several rooms, and Ciro the waiter was funny and kind. The bartenders Ciro and Crescenzo were very friendly too, and I especially appreciated that Ciro spoke Czech well. I'd happily return and wouldn't look for another hotel in Ischia. A great place for a peaceful, relaxing holiday.

We only took breakfast, which was tasty enough, though the same smaller selection came out each day. Our room was a little older and looked onto the garden, but it was cleaned daily. Nearby you can find restaurants and markets, and there's a pizzeria next door that we thought was perfect. Bagno Teresa was a good spot for lunch, and we ate there most days. The beaches are an easy walk away, or you can use the hotel's free shuttle. We enjoyed walking down ourselves. The beaches are free, with sunbeds available for a daily fee, and there are also shops and restaurants by the shore. Beach umbrellas are available to rent as well. My husband and I had seven really good days here. The grounds were lovely and well kept, with clean gardens and an outdoor pool. The terrain is a bit rugged, but the lift made getting around accessible, and we enjoyed finding all the little nooks and lovely plants. There are indoor and outdoor pools with warm water. You need a swimming cap and have to shower first. I liked that the water stayed clean and hair free. The warmth suited me, though I would have preferred a cooler pool to freshen up. That's just my own preference. A special thanks to Valerie, the bartender, who helped me prepare a surprise for my man's birthday. Thank you, you're awesome! Beautiful, kind, and friendly. Everybody likes you. We had such a good time, we're thinking of coming back next year 🙂
