They knew we were on our way, but went to bed anyway and left us homeless on the street.

I travel often and have never been treated with such a rigid, unprofessional attitude. There was no common sense or compassion here, just a wall and what felt like an attempt to take advantage of an obvious mistake. Booking.com automatically changed my selected date to the following day during payment. I only spotted it after paying, when I checked the booking details again, and called the property right away to sort it out. A young woman answered and said she'd call me back soon, but never did, so I called again. During that conversation, a woman beside her, apparently the owner and seemingly unaware I could hear, suggested they couldn't change anything. I was told that if I still wanted to stay, I'd have to pay more than double for their only available room, even though the same room was listed on Booking.com at its regular price. When I asked to speak to the owner directly, they said she couldn't come to the phone, despite her clearly being there. I ended up cancelling and lost my money, though I found somewhere else to stay without any trouble. A deeply disappointing experience that I feel I have to report. If I could, I'd give it zero stars.

It was set up almost like a small apartment. Downstairs there was a huge kitchenette, a table with chairs, a single bed, and a full bathroom with a shower. Upstairs had two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a large French bed, plus another bathroom without a shower. The front door and room both use coded entry, with a key for the room.

It's out of the way, but Forl ec is small enough that the property still feels connected to town. Staff were always helpful, the rooms clean and really spacious, and the price was fair. I was satisfied overall. The lock was the one annoyance, since it was very difficult to open. Recommended.
