Raluca was so friendly and professional, and always quick to help. She made us feel comfortable, which was lovely. She'd only been working at Baia Taormina hotel for a few days, but was already so attentive. Thanks to her for the great experience, and all the best to her!

The food was great, and the staff were amazing. We could relax on our private balcony, and the shuttle into town was useful at 10 euro per person round trip. Getting to our upper-level room meant taking 3 different elevators, each holding about 5 people, but the view was great. The walk down to the beach was nice if you don't mind a steep incline, though you could call it a hike. The shower was small for my 6'3" self and could have been better. Our AC wouldn't turn on, but the breaker in the room was off, so check that first if yours has the same problem. I'd definitely stay again.

The hotel's location is a big plus, and the staff I met after check-in were pleasant and helpful. Check-in itself wasn't great, since I wasn't given some important information. The room felt dated and badly needed updating, so it didn't seem worth the price. Worse, there were exposed wires in the bathroom that looked like they might be live. That's a serious safety hazard.

The hotel's beach was one of the nicest we've come across on our travels, and the staff really go out of their way for guests. The regular shuttle to Taormina and back costs €10 pp, about 25% of what an Uber would cost for two people. Breakfast and the fairly cheap pool bar prices also made this feel like great value. The stay was better than advertised.

A lovely surprise, the hotel exceeded what we expected, and everyone was helpful. The meals were superb, though drinking water was expensive. Thanks, we'd come back.
