Bahita - Betty's B&b

We only had a few days here and wished we could have stayed longer. The welcome was warm, the rooms were spotless and nicely decorated, and the atmosphere was relaxed and very family-like. Our daughter felt like part of the Bahita family straight away. Breakfast ran until 11:30 a.m., with lots of tasty food. The restaurant serves a delicious mix of Italian and Asian cuisine, and the terrace has a breathtaking view. The B&B is on a street with a 30 speed limit. That didn't bother us, but it's useful to know. With the windows shut, the rooms weren't noisy, and there's air conditioning. Thanks so much for the service and amenities. We loved the atmosphere here, right down to the music and the thoughtful service. The restaurant terrace has a stunning view, and the table was set with more taste than at some five-star hotels. Even the traditional clay plates felt special. The food was perfect, and Martina patiently explained every dish in such detail it was as if she had cooked it herself. The hotel is small, with small but nicely equipped rooms. BB&B really does feel like a place with a soul.

We were four, and the evening was a mess from start to finish. The appetizers came, then just a minute later two main dishes arrived while we were only starting to eat. One was actually a first course and the other a second course. The other two main courses showed up 30 minutes later, after we asked repeatedly. Drinks came after the food, our requests were ignored, and the digestif still hadn't arrived after 10 minutes while the waiters chatted among themselves. The food was mediocre, a mix of Tibetan, Spanish, and Italian, and it was very expensive. Absolutely avoid.

The staff were so friendly and generous that I ended up staying for hours, even though I had only popped in for one drink. It's a lovely bar and restaurant, with a beautiful terrace view over Cattolica.
