Hotel Athena

We only spent two nights here, but the place was quiet and really comfortable. The room for five could use some updating, though we hadn't expected much given its size, and all of us were happy with it. It was spotless and smelled fresh. For once, I felt fine getting into sheets that weren't my own. The receptionists and room attendants were so courteous, and the staff were just wonderful. Thanks, we'll definitely come back 💓

What stood out most was the team: the two receptionists were polite, kind, and ready to help, the cleaning staff worked hard to keep service at a high standard, and the breakfast waiter was professional and very courteous. The breakfast itself was plentiful, varied, and good quality, and the rooms were very clean. The property sits right by the sea, in what I think is the best part of Gabicce. Elena deserves a special thank you for greeting us with that lovely smile and looking after us with her thoughtful touches. We've picked this hotel for the second year in a row because all the little details make us feel cared for. Everyone at reception was cheerful, kind, and willing to help with whatever we needed. The welcome helped make it a wonderful holiday. There's also a shuttle between the station and the hotel, and the price is good for what you get. I'd recommend it to anyone!

We were only here for one night because we had a wedding nearby. The place was neat and very clean, and there was more care put into cleanliness and upkeep than I usually see at hotels of this standard on the Riviera Romagnola. The room was in line with what you'd expect for the area. They provided bathroom toiletries, a shower cap, and good-quality towels. Breakfast was good and had plenty of variety. For the star rating and location, the price was very good. A couple of things to know before you come: parking is scarce, either metered or paid. The hotel has a useful shuttle to a lot outside the center, about 2km away, so ask them for the details. Also, in summer the restricted traffic zone has an active gate from 20:00 to 6:00. You can enter if reception registers your license plate. Don't forget to do that or you could get a fine!
