Strand Hotel

You can really relax here and enjoy some peace. It's fantastic.

Just a mediocre hotel.

The parking was the main frustration for me. There aren't enough spaces for 60 rooms, and the location is awkward. With people arriving and leaving, you can get stuck, so I opted for paid parking since I also wanted to go on excursions, not just spend time at the beach. I was pleased to get the sea-view room I requested, though I had to pay extra for it. The elevator down to the beach is really handy, the food is decent, and the waiters are friendly and get on with their work. The buffet and desserts do get repetitive. I had hoped to see Chef Angelo again, but he's been gone since July. Enzo, the maître d', won us over with his kindness and attentiveness, and I only wish the other waiters smiled more like he does. Even with those drawbacks, I have a positive impression of this 3-star hotel. It seems well suited to families.

That elevator from the room floors straight down to the beach is a real essential for anyone with disabilities. The hotel is quiet and close to the beach, while the central square with its nightlife is only steps away. The location really works well. This was our fourth week-long stay at the Strand, and we had a wonderful time again this year. The staff has changed, but their professionalism is still there. Camilla has taken over from Eva with the same courtesy and expertise. In the dining room, Luca, Rino, Aurora, Gabriele, and Gaetano made Chef Diego's dishes even more enjoyable, and treated us with friendliness and courtesy. Ina also deserves special thanks for working tirelessly in different ways and keeping our room spotless every day. Thanks from Dalia, Emanuele, Anna Maria, Alberto, and Andrea.
