B&B La Gruba Dortoir

Our two nights at La Gruba were the first stop on the trip, and they ended up being its highlight. The views and running trails were unforgettable, and every meal was delicious and clearly made with care. The staff worked hard and were kind, warm, and accommodating throughout. We weren’t looking for luxury or flash, but the people and hospitality made the place feel special right away, even though it usually takes us a few days to settle into a vacation. We felt so welcomed and connected. Everyone we met over meals was interesting and kind, and added something to the experience. We kept wishing we were back at La Gruba for the rest of the trip. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so meaningful. We’ll absolutely return. It’s a unique, unforgettable place.

We stayed there overnight before going to Staffal to start climbing Mt-Rosa. The room was very comfortable, the service excellent, and the « Chnefflene » (the local spätzle) delicious. It’s very conveniently located for hiking in the area. I’d definitely return and highly recommend it.

After a long day of hiking, this is a great place to stop and relax. We really liked the traditional, quaint architecture, and the food was excellent from appetizers through dessert (see photos). We especially enjoyed the Fumin wine. The staff and owner were accommodating.

The owners and staff were very kind and helpful, and we also had a good meal at the restaurant. The location is outstanding, with a breathtaking view. Our room was comfortable and beautiful, especially the spacious bathroom.
