The apartment is just a short walk from Lake Garda and town, and the owner was very friendly. Although she lives far away, she made sure we had all the details we needed, from picking up the key to parking. We got used to the hum of the fridge and the bathroom fan, which runs whenever the light is on, but both are quite loud. The bathroom is also a little cramped. The rubbish arrangements were stressful: there’s a collection calendar, but we only stayed one or two nights and didn’t have enough rubbish to make a collection worthwhile. At checkout, we were told not to leave any rubbish behind.

We left the apartment tidy and vacuumed, but were still asked to pay for final cleaning even though it was included in the booking. We were also charged for a bag of empty bottles. The landlord was rude, and the apartment wasn’t clean. Our booked check-in time wasn’t honoured, so we waited another two hours before we could get in. At checkout, we left at 11:04 a.m., just four minutes past the 11 a.m. deadline, and were threatened with the police. I’ve filed a complaint with booking.com.

The location is a real plus, with both the lake and town about five minutes away. The apartment is small but lovely, and the landlady was very nice. Everything was clean. There’s no Wi-Fi, and the church next door has very loud bells, but I’d still definitely recommend it.
