B&B Il Tetto Di Anita

From the attic windows, we could see the old fortress of Gavi, only a few steps away. The covered parking was just as close to the entrance, and we were met there on arrival and shown in. We stayed three nights in this charming place in the historic centre of Gavi (AL), with four adults. Signora Elena was around whenever needed but never intrusive. There were four comfortable beds, a modern, well-equipped bathroom, and a practical kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, refrigerator, TV, and Wi-Fi. Breakfast basics and things for a break during the day were provided too. One thing to keep in mind: the apartment is on the second floor, and the stairs may be difficult for guests with mobility issues.

The rooms are lovely and comfortable, though anyone on the taller side should watch their head in the attic. With a bit of care, it's a great place to stay. The bathroom has a toilet, shower, and sink, and towels and a hair dryer are supplied. Mrs. Elena has turned her attic into a cosy, well-kept apartment on a side street in the little village of Gavi. You can see the imposing fortress below from the window. There's a kitchen with a microwave and refrigerator, plus all you need for a hearty breakfast. Mrs. Elena sets out biscuits, croissants, cream tarts, and other breakfast things on the counter, and there's a coffee machine too. Prices are very competitive and the Wi-Fi is super fast. I was very happy with the stay, and hope to come back!

The owners are so kind and always available, while still being there when you need them. The place is welcoming and well cared for, and I felt at home from the minute I arrived. Finding somewhere that gives you that feeling isn't a given. I came across this lovely place by chance a few years ago, and it's stayed close to my heart. A great spot to unwind and relax. If you haven't been, I recommend going soon!

I can only give it the top rating. Along with all the good things other reviewers have mentioned, which I agree with, I appreciated how helpful and courteous they were when we rescheduled our stay in Gavi instead of cancelling because of COVID restrictions. Thanks again.
