La Casa dei Limoni

The view from the big terrace is breathtaking, and the guy who greeted us was incredibly kind and helpful. The rooms are a decent size and pleasant. Just be aware the bathroom is a little moldy, with a leak near the shower. The city center isn't right nearby, but public transport is easy to use and the bus stop is just outside the entrance. For a low price, it's a very nice place. We didn't have high expectations and were happy with the stay.

We couldn't use the Jacuzzi that day because it was switched off when we arrived and the water was only 20 degrees. We'd asked if it could be turned on before we got there, and were told it would be. Instead, we had to start it ourselves and pay an extra charge. There was no reception and nobody available to take our documents. We considered moving, but it was Easter Monday and finding somewhere else wasn't easy, so we stayed. The room had no toilet paper, either in the bathroom or elsewhere. The shower hose was completely broken. The air conditioning remote was tucked away in the closet, an odd place. I suspect the owners didn't want to heat the room for a one-night stay. During our stay, a neighbor tried to break into the apartment without permission. Then the owner threatened to throw us out by force if we didn't send our documents immediately. I don't understand how this place can be part of the Airbnb and Bed & Breakfast group. The organization is poor, and it certainly isn't suited to a relaxing stay. The owners are seriously stingy. I strongly advise against it.

For €80, it's a good deal if you're not fussy. The view was a full five stars, and the guy was helpful, clearly explaining check-in and check-out. Breakfast was average, though, and the room wasn't for me. The floor looked like the one in my workshop, the washing machine was packed with laundry that I think was left from my previous stay, there was hair in the sink, and the toilet filled up before it drained when flushed. The stairs leading in were odd, with very short treads and uneven risers, so you had to watch every step. Service gets three stars from me.

Silvia, well done, keep going! The owners were welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast was generous, with everything fresh. The room was spotless and nicely equipped, while the very large bathroom had lovely attention to detail. It's a peaceful, simple, family-friendly place with a stunning view. Definitely recommended.
