The kids had fun with the pools and the sand at the beach, and the ice cream was really good. We came with a camping trailer, and the receptionist showed us where to park. The beach spot reservation was disappointing: we expected a view of the beach, but it was only close to it, or perhaps they forgot to explain that, so the extra cost didn’t feel worthwhile. The shop was fine for getting started, though later we preferred shopping outside the camp. Toilets and showers were maintained regularly. The weather was a bit unpredictable during our stay, but it was still a nice experience.

The bungalow was in a good spot, but over our two weeks there were a lot of problems. Rain came right onto the terrace several times, soaking the stroller, shoes, and outdoor seating. There were at least four cellar spiders in holes in one wall, plus a big brown spider in the rooms. The bathroom door had a narrow missing strip, so you could see inside. The sofa bed cover was threadbare and coming apart. Cleaning seemed to be only surface level, with dust on the bedroom light and bathroom windowsill. Kitchen knives were blunt, the pan was too small for six people, and five of us had to share one key card. We were given bedding at check-in and expected to put it on ourselves. That was okay, but we should have been told in advance. The bungalow had only the bare essentials, a single toilet roll, one bin liner, and sheets. It also came without beach loungers or an umbrella, which had to be paid for upfront. One umbrella and two loungers cost 18€ a day, or 15€ for a 5 day subscription, making the total for our stay 225€. Be careful if you’re judging the place by the website pictures.

We liked the spacious layout, how child-friendly and organized the residence was, and the staff were consistently polite and helpful. Still, we wouldn’t come back after what happened during our two weeks in August. The brick bungalows are old and quite dark, with visibly worn floors that were broken in places. That felt worrying with a small child walking barefoot. On our second evening, we found around 30 black spiders living in holes in the outside walls of our bungalow. We reported it straight away. They first offered us spray to deal with it ourselves, despite our having a 14-month-old baby. After we insisted, they kindly moved us to another bungalow. Maintenance work later caused repeated power cuts. Our fridge was off for about 12 hours, so we had to throw out a whole bag of food. No one explained what was happening or offered compensation, just a quick, inadequate “sorry.” More regular upkeep and better care for guests in situations like that would make a real difference.

The terrace was a lovely place for breakfast or a glass of wine, and there were plenty of trees giving welcome shade. We stayed in a mobile home, small and simple as expected, but cozy. We spent time at the beach and at the three pools, and rented bikes to ride along the beach into the city center. There’s plenty for sports too, including a tennis court, lap pool, and small gym. We had a great short stay.

A nice family camping spot, with a well-stocked shop and a lovely pier at the beach. The staff were the best part, special thanks to them. My wife left her wallet in our bungalow, and as soon as I told them, they responded and sent it to our home. That’s customer care at its best.
