Agriturismo Al Vermigliano

A traditional farmhouse in Alberese, with apartments and rooms furnished in period style, plus a pool and air conditioning. It's convenient for Marina di Alberese beach. The owner was somewhat inflexible when we asked to leave our luggage so we could enjoy our last half-day at the beach. I can understand saying no, but the explanation could have been more polite. We were guests, after all.

Breakfast had fresh local products and was just right for a satisfying start to the day. The room was lovely, with traditional decor and everything furnished perfectly. There's a large pool and plenty of loungers for every room. The managers were always smiling and gave us a warm welcome. A little peaceful haven, highly recommended for a wonderful holiday.

We spent a full week here and had a wonderful time. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, the location was very quiet, and the owners were kind and helpful.

Al Vermigliano is in a very quiet spot near Alberese, about 2 km from the Maremma Regional Park. It's a good base for exploring the park, but there's nothing within walking distance, so in the evening you need the car or the apartment's small kitchen. We stayed two nights in September 2024 and felt very comfortable. The property is well maintained and has a lovely pool. You can clearly see the farm side, with chickens, geese, fruit trees, and olive trees. Our apartment was bright, welcoming, cozy, and clean. The bed was good, the bathroom had what we needed, and the kitchen had pots, pans, and some dishes. One downside was the kitchen sofa, which had no cushions and wasn't comfortable to sit on for long. The covered, sheltered terrace was nice even in the rain, though its hard chairs were only half comfortable. The hosts were friendly, especially Rosy, who's very nice. We'd read reviews and were looking forward to her cooking, but sadly she no longer cooks for guests. Breakfast was very good too. Like many places in Italy, there were lots of sweets, but we could also get cheese, ham, and a boiled egg.
