Breakfast costs €15 per person if it's not included, which felt like a lot for what was offered, and most of it wasn't homemade. Dogs are an extra €15 a day. Our castle room was old, and the bathroom was so cramped we couldn't even stand at the toilet. There was no bidet, and the shower only worked off and on. The little kitchen had an old, broken fridge, and only one tap on the sink worked. The Wi-Fi was terrible. We asked for a beer, but they had nothing to drink, even though there was a small bar.

Luca manages this beautiful property very well, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's tucked into quiet woods, just 10 minutes from Gubbio.

They gave us a map when we arrived and explained the attractions to see in Gubbio. The staff were very attentive and welcoming, including to our French bulldog. We had a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature, about 15 minutes from Gubbio. The castle's location and the property itself were beautiful, and breakfast was generous. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely return ❤️
