The remote setting is part of the deal here. Every trip to nearby towns starts with a steep, bumpy 15-minute drive to the main road, and driving times may be longer than expected. We got used to that road and saw wild boar, hares, deer, porcupines, hoopoes, eagles, bee-eaters and plenty of other birds, with views toward Monte Cucco, I think. We visited several towns and it worked well, but this probably isn't the place if you want to eat out every night or need a convenient base for lots of driving. The isolation is what gives the stay its authentic Umbrian countryside feel, and the price is good value if you're fine with that. We spent two lovely weeks here as a family and would happily return. Emanuela was a friendly, very helpful hostess who responded quickly. It's peaceful, full of character, surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife, and there's great walking and running right from the door. We found it comfortable, reasonably well equipped, and easy to live in, with a lovely pool, garden, barbecue and wonderful views. The shower was good, and the Wi-Fi was OK for such a remote spot. Some things mentioned on the website, like the table tennis, table football and bikes, weren't in great shape. The games area looked quite run down, which was a shame because the space itself was perfect. Those shortcomings felt minor compared with the main things that were in good order. This is an authentic agriturismo, not a luxury hotel.

I went four times between 2002 and 2006 and loved the beautiful area. You'll need a car.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the pool is the best part of this beautiful farmhouse. There are lovely scenic walks nearby. Some upkeep is needed elsewhere: the tennis court surface is uneven, and the shed beside the rented rooms is full of bumblebees. Still, those feel like small issues when you're surrounded by nature.

The pool was spotless, and there was a tennis court and beautiful sunset views. With peaceful hills around and the art cities easy to reach, it's an ideal spot for a family holiday. Highly recommended.
