Villa Marylu'

There were ten of us in Ischia for a vacation, eight women and two men. The women stayed at this Airbnb, while my friend and I booked the hotel across the street. The listing promised guests privacy, but that wasn’t our experience. One night we were all by the pool eating pizza, having a couple of beers, and enjoying ourselves when we heard a moped outside. The host showed up and said his mother had complained about the noise. He then told my friend and me that we couldn’t stay there because we weren’t guests. I knew that wasn’t true. He said Italian law meant non-guests couldn’t spend the night, though we weren’t planning to stay overnight anyway. So, in short, don’t stay here if you expect privacy from the host. His mother or some relative apparently lives on the second floor, though I don’t know who, since he wouldn’t understand English. This happened in August 2019.
