The old building and lovely surroundings are what make this place so striking. The staff, though, were slow and didn't seem interested in smiling; the bartender looked as if she'd rather be somewhere else. Breakfast was a letdown: an empty croissant with a choice of two packaged jams, packaged toast, German salami slices, and some very questionable ham. The coffee was awful too. The hotel is lucky to have such a beautiful location.

Caterina is kind and helpful, and the staff are friendly without being intrusive. The entertainment team did a great job despite the small number of guests. There are gluten-free meals, and the large pool is clean and open for swimming without time limits. The place is charming for nature lovers, clean, and well kept, with tidy rooms. The sandy beach is under 800 meters away, though the slope down to it isn't suitable for disabled guests. The food is good, authentic, and uses local produce.
