Cala Blu Residence

Really clean and comfortable.

I loved relaxing by the pool without children shouting or splashing around. It was a fantastic trip and a lovely resort, and I’d definitely come back. If your kids want somewhere to play freely, the beach is 300m away.

The apartments are clean, roomy and really nice, and the pool is beautiful. The complex itself is lovely and quiet, away from all the bustle. The problem is the major construction site just behind it, where two 25-story towers are being built. The noise got so intense at times that we left the complex or sat on the terrace wearing earplugs. I know the provider can’t control the work, but when a trip costs so much, a warning and current photo would be fair. Knowing about it, we wouldn’t have booked. It’s also only partly family-friendly. Almost everything seems forbidden, apart from breathing. The rules weren’t really enforced during our visit, maybe because the construction was so noisy.

The resort is beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families with children. There are so many restrictions, including a very long midday quiet period that’s hard for kids. They can’t play ball in the water, use water toys or run around. It feels as if children shouldn’t be there during the day, or are expected to stay extremely quiet for the long-term residents. Kids should be able to enjoy their holiday.
