Condominio Faro

The apartment was clean and nice, with everything you need.

What bothered me most was the caretaker and lifeguard's unfriendly, rude attitude. I'm polite and respectful, but I kept getting told off over things, day after day. My children stopped wanting to go to the pool because the lifeguard kept reprimanding and staring at them. Whenever we ran into the caretaker, she always had some pointless comment. If they find the work such a burden and make guests' holidays miserable, they should consider changing jobs. The apartment itself felt very dated. The bedroom drawers were hard to open and then wouldn't shut. There was no toilet paper or other amenities when we arrived, and some bulbs didn't work. Basic utensils were missing too, though the agency quickly fixed those issues after we reported them. The shower curtain leaves the whole floor wet, and the toilet seat is cut in half. It was neither comfortable nor pleasant.

That perfect beachfront location is the only reason for the one star. The apartment is sparse, old, and run-down, and hardly anything works apart from the TV and fridge. This room isn't worth the price. The metal items in the so-called kitchen were dirty and rusty, and there was only cold water. Mold covered the sink, shower, and curtain. The shower rod was fastened to the water pipe with a rubber bungee cord. There's a construction crane right next door, and the facade is crumbling. I could go on for hours, but it wouldn't change anything.

The building management at Condominio Faro is always nice, friendly, and dedicated. We were also glad to see the balconies had been renovated and extended, which definitely improves the apartments. But the two balcony chairs were broken, so we had nowhere to sit outside. I've stayed in this apartment many times under a different landlord, and it was generally fine as usual. This time, though, we found it very dirty. It really seemed that the rental agency hadn't arranged a pre-arrival clean: there was pet litter and food under the bed and in the drawers, as well as dirty dishes and a dirty new balcony. At these prices, the agency should talk to the cleaning staff.
