Hotel Le Soleil

We had a room with a huge balcony overlooking the ocean, and it was very spacious. The hotel sits in a very touristy part of Lido di Jesolo, but its position right in the middle worked really well. We visited twelve hotels this summer, and this was the one we really loved. Breakfast was great, though it got a bit crowded sometimes. The beach is free, but you have to rent towels if you haven’t brought your own. The pool costs extra, which seemed odd at first. We chose a cabana instead, and it was lovely, with more space than the regular beds. They aren’t cheap, but we thought they were worth every penny. There’s also a nice pool bar and restaurant, and the staff there were very friendly. I was told it’s highly recommended if you get the right room.

A nice atmosphere, good food, great staff, and a free spa and fitness area to use. The beach is lovely and goes on for about 10 miles, and it’s a good base for a trip to Venice. The downside was the daily cost of the loungers: €12 for two beds and an umbrella on the beach, €20 for the same by the pool, or €40 for a pool cabana.

We stayed in August 2025. The food and service were great, and the rooms were clean, new, and nice, though small. Fine for two people, but no more. Booking direct gets you free beach sunbeds, while with TUI you’re put in a road-facing room with no sea view, no complimentary slippers, and you have to pay (£10&12) to use sunbeds at the pool and beach. The pool is spotless, but it’s so cold it spoils the experience. There’s also a list of rules: no ball games, jumping, diving, or inflatables. The lunch menu is limited, even if the price isn’t bad. There are just three pizzas, one margarita with frankfurters and another with chips on it. Come on, we’re in Italy. How about Hawaiian or pepperoni?

The location makes day trips easy. Venice and Murano and Burano are simple to get to, and places like Verona and Sirmione on Lake Garda aren’t too far either. Hotel Le Soleil is right on the beach, just five steps to the sand, and the resort street stretches on for miles with shops, bars, restaurants, and bikes to hire. Many of the other guests were friendly too, and we got chatting with some who return regularly. It’s easy to see why. We had such a good time that we’re coming back. We first stayed in June 2024 through a Jet2 package, in a classic room without a sea view and with half-board. We returned in June 2025, booked directly, and chose the half-board option again, this time in a Gran Superior Lateral Sea View room. Both rooms were outstandingly clean and comfortable. Each day they changed the sheets and towels, cleaned the balcony, mopped and vacuumed the floor, and cleaned and polished the shower and sink. The beds were very comfortable, and reception was happy to help whenever we needed something. Food was a highlight. There was lots to choose from at breakfast, including cooked options, pastries, meat, cheese, and fruit, and it was delicious. If you’ve booked dinner, Bruno brings the evening menu at breakfast so you can pick a starter, main, and dessert. It changes every day. The lasagne was our favourite starter. Bruno was friendly and helpful, and if there was something we didn’t like, he explained how to arrange something we would enjoy at dinner. The evening restaurant staff were welcoming and made a lovely atmosphere. I can’t remember our waitress’s name, but she was brilliant, and all the staff went above and beyond. The pool area was great, with two pools, one set aside for swimming. Pool sunbeds cost €10 per person per day, and we thought it was worth it. Beach sunbeds could also be hired, I believe for €6 per person per day. The pool staff made it easy to get settled. There’s a poolside bar serving lunch, drinks, and ice cream, and the staff were great. The pizza was tasty too. In the evenings, we liked ordering drinks on the sea-facing terrace. Once a week, Symon sings and puts on a show for a few hours, which gives the place a great atmosphere. Edi at the bar was wonderful every night and went out of his way for us. Thanks to the Hotel Le Soleil staff for making our second visit such a lovely stay. We’ll be back!
