The mattresses were comfortable, and the large water heater gave enough hot water for our family of four. There were plenty of blankets, duvets, and pillows. The Houston apartment is close to the beach and has three bedrooms, one with a kitchen. The neighborhood is very quiet, though it’s about a 40-minute walk to the center. The equipment is badly worn: uncomfortable chairs, a refrigerator door that hangs down to the floor, a broken frying pan, missing cutlery, and a broken coffee maker. You’d need to bring your own things to cook a meal. The bathroom was the biggest surprise, with the toilet mounted directly above the bath and no curtain, so you can shower using the toilet. The bunk bed isn’t safe for two people either. It wobbles when you climb the stairs, and there’s no safety rail.

Belmondo Agency's staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for the beach and central for shopping. There’s a relatively new refrigerator, and the large boiler gives enough hot water for 4 people. That’s about it for the positives. The mattresses are disastrous, with all the springs poking through. The bathroom floods constantly and has serious mold. Fewer than half of the 10 lights work. The furniture is worn out and uncomfortable, and the clothes rack is completely rusted. One room is far too small, has no closet, and its door won’t open all the way. Some dishes, including the pans, can’t be used. The kitchen furniture smells terrible, and the walls are filthy. That’s down to the apartment’s very poor condition, not the guests, and nobody seems to care. The parking space is far too short and small for today's cars. All this for 80 euros per night in the off-season. Outrageous! The owner should think about whether he just wants to make money or have satisfied guests who want to return. A renovation is long overdue!

The location is actually very good. A supermarket with delicious pizzas and a great pastry shop are just around the corner, the sea is a 5-minute walk away, and the apartment has an assigned parking space. The refrigerator is new 👍 We’ve always liked coming here, but we’re waiting for an upgrade now 😉 It’s a shame they don’t put a little money into renovating the place now and then. Everything is old, including the furnishings, and you can feel every spring in the mattresses 🤦‍♂️

There’s plenty to eat at the buffet, and the umbrellas are pleasant too. The rooms are quite large, the water pressure is good, and it’s really beautiful inside. From the outside, Emma doesn’t look like much, but I’d call it at least a 5-star hotel, not a 3-star. The food is good, the menu always has variety, and the prices are fair. The staff are very, very kind, especially with heavy people like mine. Grandma is very tolerant too.
