Il Fojot

The owners, Ms. Paola and her son, were thoughtful and welcoming. At our request, they arranged an alternative for our gluten-intolerant friend, who had plenty of options, even at breakfast. Service was courteous, discreet, and attentive. We also had a generous breakfast with homemade jams, and dinner was a lovely introduction to Piedmontese cuisine. The appetizer had something for everyone, from vegetables from the garden to cheeses and cured meats, followed by excellent agnolotti and a delicious crostata. Our spacious, clean room was tastefully furnished, and the family-run place is set in peaceful countryside that’s great for long walks. The Fojot will be a reference point for future visits to the Mandria area.

The vegetable garden is only 0.05 from the kitchen, and you can visit it, so Km0 really fits. The traditional Piedmontese cooking has a few little twists, and everything was delicious. They also have a children's menu. It’s welcoming, and when the weather warms up you can eat outside under a big tree. There’s lots of countryside and greenery, with plenty of room for kids and a stroll to walk off lunch.

It was a wonderful surprise so close to home. The setting feels timeless, surrounded by nature, and the hospitality made us want to linger even after the meal. The food was excellent, with the cooks’ passion and the genuine ingredients coming through. We’ll be glad to return.

We celebrated my son's first communion here on May 29, 2021, and it was a wonderful day with friends and family. Thanks to the owners for making it possible. The lawn is large and beautifully kept, so the children could run around while the adults enjoyed the excellent dishes in peace. The ingredients were good quality, and everything was served warmly and attentively. There was even enough for seconds for anyone with a sweet tooth. The carafe wine was excellent, and you can also choose bottles from prestigious wineries. The price was more than fair. The place is immaculately maintained, and we’ll definitely be back.
