The hotel is really dated and needs upgrading. The walls are so thin you can hear everything, including the cleaners making a lot of noise outside your room. Don’t stay here if you want a decent night’s sleep.

The breakfast setup was a mess. Food would run out and we had to wait for more, while the slow coffee machine kept breaking down and causing long queues. Guests ended up lining up early just to get a place in the dining room and make coffee. The dining room itself was too small to fit everyone. My room faced a busy street, so getting a good night’s sleep was impossible. The hotel didn’t meet my expectations, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The staff were friendly and the service was good, and being close to the port made the place feel very central. The accommodation fell short of what I expected: the air conditioning didn’t work, and several parts of the hotel looked opened up or under repair and construction. They did move us to a bigger room with working air conditioning the next day, which says something good about their service. I can’t compare it with other hotels in La Maddalena, but for an overnight stay it should do.

The room was a good size and the beds were comfortable, and the location is great. Breakfast costs an extra €7. They do allow dogs to sleep in the rooms.

It was fair enough for the price, but I was confused by the housekeeping. They replaced my soap when it wasn’t needed and didn’t follow the policy about not washing towels to save water. Why claim to be environmentally friendly?
