They wrongly canceled our reservation the night before we were due to leave. After countless messages asking why, they said our credit card wasn’t working, though we use it regularly on Amazon, Booking sites, and elsewhere. Maybe it only doesn’t work for them, like so many other things. The phone number on the booking site is practically unreachable, either switched off or ringing without an answer. We only got to speak with a woman after explicitly asking; she may have been the owner. We were supposed to talk with her the next day, but she then literally disappeared. I strongly advise against this completely unreliable and shady establishment.

My friends and I were left stranded after the owner sent only a curt message saying, “I have to cancel,” and then there was no way to reach them. It clearly seems this has happened before. Be careful with this agency, which operates several apartments: Downtown SRL, Viale Mazzini 47, La Spezzia. Don’t book.

Two friends and I were locked out with no information, then got a message saying the transaction had been canceled. We couldn’t get in touch with the owner at all and were left in a foreign country without an explanation. I later found that the agency has several apartments: Downtown SRL, Viale Mazzini 47, La Spezzia. Stay away.

The apartment is small and not practical for more than four people, and it feels a bit expensive for what you get. Its location is handy, right on a shopping street near restaurants and about 10 minutes from the train station. But parking nearby is impossible, and it’s very noisy.

We spent a week here with our family, and the pedestrian area made it easy to explore the city or catch a train to the Cinque Terre. The apartment is well laid out, with two bathrooms, a washing machine, dishwasher, and Nespresso coffee machine. Check-in was quick and even earlier than scheduled, and the attentive staff were helpful, including with suggestions for places to eat. It can be noisy outside, but the air conditioning meant we could sleep with the windows shut without any problem. Paid parking is available nearby.
