We had everything we needed in the spacious Paloria apartment, and the three saunas were just the thing after a day skiing or hiking. We had a fantastic New Year's holiday and will definitely come back!

The calm, quiet atmosphere was just what we needed for a restful break in Merano after a recent loss in our family. We stayed two nights in Paloria Apartment-Loft #15, in the newest part, and the two-level loft was a dream. Julia, the owner, was wonderfully kind and accommodating from arrival to departure. There's an elevator, which is useful with heavy bags or mobility needs. We live about two and a half hours away, and we're a fun-loving, down-to-earth couple who enjoy getting away. We've traveled widely and stayed in everything from top hotels like Waldorf Shanghai to more homey places with charm. We care about a great room, but we're no snobs. Paloria was incredibly well designed and spotless. I'm a chef with high standards, and the kitchen was meticulously clean, with quality Miele and Neff appliances and WMF cookware. We even felt comfortable using the bathroom glasses, which I usually don't trust in hotels. The bedroom and bathroom are downstairs, past a roomy entry area for keys, shoes, and bags. Both stayed naturally cool without AC, even during late August days. The bed was the most comfortable we've slept in on previous trips to this region. Beds in Sud-Tirol can often be very hard, which we're used to from Austrian and German influences, but this one was cozy and we both slept really well, something we needed. Upstairs, the kitchen and dining area had a cute built-in bench table and two comfortable chairs. A console with the TV divided that area from the lounge, where plush velvet cushions and a big matching ottoman made it easy to stretch out and even fall asleep. We didn't manage to use the pool, sauna, or jacuzzi this time. After the weeks of events and travel stateside, even those relaxing options felt like a chore. We'll try all three next stay. There's also a pool below and a jacuzzi on the terraced area, plus massage. The balcony was wonderful, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto views of mountains, vineyards, and apple orchards. It had two cushioned lounge chairs, a blanket for cool evenings and mornings, and a large round table for eating outside. The bread service was amazing. We forgot to order the first night, then ordered for departure day and bought extra to take home. It came from a local Lagundo/Algun bakery, with croissants, yeast rolls, whole wheat rolls, one variety with caraway, and soft, delicious pretzel rolls. Some of the croissants were among the best and most natural we've eaten. Buy the best local butter and order bread every day! There's also an honor-system shop with excellent local products, including speck. Just write down what you take so they can charge you. By the pool, there are self-service spritzs, beers, and cakes. It's a unicorn of a place: peaceful and lovely, with no neighbors' dogs barking all hours and no crazy locals. You might hear a rooster crowing in the distance if you're out on the balcony early, but not from inside with the doors and windows shut. The owners are among the kindest people we've met and clearly care about the property, their business, and their guests.

It's so easy to unwind right from the moment you arrive, especially as a returning guest. I'd also recommend it for a workation. You get a lot done because you're so relaxed.

The atmosphere was laid-back and the staff were friendly. We had a perfect stay from beginning to end!

Amazing apartments and great service. I'll definitely come back 😍 My only missing piece was a fitness studio. With apartments and sport, I think there should be one. Other than that, everything was perfect ❣️
