The restaurant and pool made our holiday feel like a dream, and every meal was delicious and carefully prepared. The service was first class, too. The rooms are a little dated, but they were clean and well cared for, and that suits the charm of being in the heart of Tuscany. The hostess is so kind, helpful, and genuinely caring, always doing extra to make guests feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay at the Bellavista Hotel in San Baronto and will definitely return. A lovely place to pause for a relaxed evening on our Italy road trip. The view is amazing, and the staff were helpful, even pointing us toward some great wineries for afternoon tastings. Definitely eat at the restaurant if you stay. And don't miss the tirramisu, it's to die for.

Breakfast was pretty good, with the usual Italian spread of cold dishes, pastries, and other standard choices. Fresh coffee is available if you ask, though the Americano otherwise sits in a thermos. The hotel seemed cozier in the pictures than it felt in person, so it wasn't quite what I expected. For the famous Tuscany panorama, you'll have to walk up to the pool area. Don't count on getting that view from your room or terrace. It was a decent stay, as long as you keep expectations in check.

The steak and potatoes were so good I cleared the plate, which I don't often do. The wine and prices were great as well, and the quality for the cost felt far beyond perfect. Everyone, whether family or staff, made me feel at home and special. The setting is beautiful, and the room had just what I needed. I have some experience from looking at the pictures and comments I post here, and this is one of the best places I've ever been. Even if you're not nearby, I'd drive the extra hour for it. I'll be back. Many thanks to the people working here for one of the better experiences I've had in a long time.
