The garden pool was a blessing for an afternoon dip, and the apartment is in a great spot, quiet but close to the center. It was a bit dated and had a slight cigarette smell, though cleanliness was okay. Communication with the owner was limited, but very pleasant and friendly. We'd read the reviews beforehand and were excited, and we weren't disappointed. We'd gladly return.

The owner was truly strange, rude, and unfriendly. He wanted us out at 6 AM, though we managed to negotiate a later departure. Even hotels don't make you leave at 6 in the morning. The house sits on a fairly quiet side street, but overall it seems poorly maintained. Our room wasn't very clean, with cobwebs and dirt on the walls. The shower drain barely worked, and you couldn't cook on two burners. And again, no bidet, which is essential in Italian homes. Clearly these people still feel Austrian.

We were offered a garage right away for our bicycles. The apartment was excellent value, with all the basic groceries and cleaning supplies we needed. With orchards all around, we could have breakfast in the sun each morning.

The location is perfect, and dogs are allowed, which is great. The apartment has everything you'd need, but it was very dirty. The landlord came across as quiet and unfriendly at first, both in person and in conversation. If you don't mind some mess, you could clean the place yourself and then feel comfortable there.
