The place is peaceful, close to the beach, and has a beautiful view of the Etna. I liked the friendly service and there was a handy spot for my bike. The hotel has lovely wood, marble, and terrazzo throughout. Little touches in the technology are well thought out, like the air conditioning switching off when you open the balcony door. Good value for money.

The long boardwalk along the ocean has a cart selling beer on April spritz and hamburgers, plus a few other restaurants. There’s also a side alley leading uphill to a lovely gelateria and pastry shop. The restaurant next door called Capriccio serves dinner, and we ate there too. It was good, and the desserts looked beautiful, though we didn’t try any. Al Faro, their sister restaurant, was great as well. We stopped here for two days while traveling around Italy. The hotel and rooms were beautiful and clean, with modern integrated controls for the air conditioning and shades. The bathroom had a Jacuzzi tub and a stand-up shower with water coming from all directions, unlike anything I’d seen before. The beach was gorgeous. It was very quiet with few tourists when we visited. The air conditioning broke, but they gave us a fan and sorted things out. The pool wasn’t open, though it looks beautiful for summer and tourist season. Prices were good at that time of year. I’d stay here again and recommend it.
