B&B La Dimora Storica

At around 12:30 or 1 a.m., we were outside with our bags and nowhere to go. The three nearest hotels I found were full, and all Gatto Bianco could say was, "Sorry, I cant do anything." A stranger who had already tried to help kindly let us sleep at his flat, in his single bed and on a two-seater sofa. I keep thinking how awful this would have been if two young girls had been left in that situation. Their handling of it was disgusting and completely indefensible, whatever they say in reply. We had booked because the listing said there was a reception for late arrivals. There wasn't. A key lock was there, but the code sent by SMS didn't work. Neither a voice call nor a video call with them got it open. The restaurant owner next door and a passerby tried to help too, but it still wouldn't open. They had no backup plan, no master key, nobody coming to assist, and no help finding somewhere else so we wouldn't be left on the street.
