Our four-day stay at Eco del Mare was one of my worst experiences. The rooms were filthy and badly kept, with an old-fashioned look. I found hair on the bed and across the floor, plus what looked like blood in the bathroom. That was alarming and completely unacceptable. The restaurant was just as disappointing. The food quality was poor, and I had to point out a tomato with visible mold. Seeing that kind of negligence was shocking, especially given the health risk. Beach access was another serious problem. Italian law guarantees public access to the shore and the five meters from the waterline, but that access was denied here. Staff were openly rude to non-paying visitors and weren’t particularly polite to us as paying guests either. I can’t recommend this place. It was appalling from beginning to end.

We wanted a quieter, more luxurious beach club, and this beautiful spot suited us. It’s great for swimming and spending time with friends, and the location and view made it worthwhile in the end. Still, it costs a lot for what you get. Some dishes were great, while others missed the mark.

What a letdown. The place is beautiful, but the service and the way customers were treated were bad. We had to clean our own table and seats, got the wrong drinks, and the food had no flavor. At 3:30 pm we asked to speak to the manager and were told to wait until 7. When I asked how to contact them, they wouldn’t give me the manager’s name or direct email. It was very pricey, and the experience might have been okay if the place could live up to that level. Instead, we paid a lot for poor service and tasteless food.

The location is beautiful, but the food was really bad and not worth the price. It felt like they were trying too hard to be trendy and modern. With good food, fresh seafood, and Italian classics, this place could be worth what it charges.

People in Tellaro and Fiascherino know about this, apparently. They canceled our room just three days before we were due to arrive, first saying the rate we booked was too low, then blaming “bad weather.” I don’t believe the weather excuse, since it was fine, with no rain or rough water at the time. We found a much nicer place nearby for a fraction of the price and got some lovely swims at the free beach. I found the whole thing untrustworthy, unfair, and rude.
