The views here are so striking I kept thinking, “I can’t believe I’m here!” The staff were warm, especially the shuttle driver who picked us up several times. He was chatty, kind, knew three languages, and was easy to talk to. Breakfast is included and had a good spread of hot and cold food, pastries, yogurts with lots of toppings, and coffee service. I’d recommend paying extra for a balcony room.

We were touring Italy on our Harley-Davidsons and spent one night at Europa Grand Hotel in Lerici. Parking for our motorcycles right out front was a big plus for the group, and the comfortable rooms and terrace with its breathtaking view made the stay even better. The atmosphere, location, and service all exceeded what we expected. It was relaxing and memorable, and we’ll definitely come back.

We had a quiet room with air conditioning, a great gulf view, and impeccable service. The hotel is a little way up the hill, but we managed the walk in flip-flops. There’s also a minivan shuttle from 8 am to 7 pm, then again from 8 pm until midnight. For other times, you can arrange a taxi in advance. The neighborhood felt very safe.

Breakfast on the terrace came with beautiful views and plenty of choice, and the shuttle bus was a great extra. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Luigi, our Italian Scot, was especially helpful. Everything about the hotel felt perfect.

We spent a couple of nights here and loved the clean hotel, beautiful setting, comfortable beds, and quiet surroundings. The only reason I can think of for it not having more stars is that there’s no gym or pool. You can go hiking and bathe in the sea instead.
