Hotel Atilius Adults Only

The hot tubs were a lovely bonus, and all guests can use them. I had a lovely stay at Hotel Atilius: the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was quiet. Pool service was great, and breakfast had a good variety and tasty food. I’d recommend it to other guests.

We booked for the location, modern features and the welcome for small dogs, but the stay was disappointing. Our room was tiny and felt very closed in, with no ventilation and a glass entrance. Despite daytime temperatures reaching 30 degrees in mid-April, the hotel refused to turn on the main air-conditioning. The heat in the room was unbearable and made sleeping difficult. The friendly staff moved us to a larger room, but it didn’t help much; we were counting the days until we could leave. For people travelling with a dog, the main issue is that dogs weren’t allowed to go anywhere with you. You were expected to leave your pet locked in the hot room, despite the hefty dog allowance they charged. I understand some hotels don’t accept dogs because not everyone likes them or because of allergies. This hotel takes dog owners’ money but doesn’t seem to care about the dog’s wellbeing.

The mountain view was stunning, and we had a fun evening at the outdoor pool. Our room was luxurious and clean, with controllable AC. All the staff were attentive and quick to respond to what we needed. Receptionist Alessia deserves a special mention for making the experience so enjoyable. I’d definitely come back!

The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had in Europe. Everyone at the hotel gave us great service, and the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym were all there to enjoy. Fabulous hotel. Thanks again for a great stay.
