Hotel Astra

The food was good, but the restaurant prices were outrageous. One T-bone steak cost $80, which was simply overpriced. We’d been excited by the hotel’s promises for bikers, but breakfast seemed like an ordinary one, and we couldn’t see what made it special for cyclists. The so-called bike storage was an old ski room outside with barely enough space for our bikes. There was an indoor storage room, but it was being used for restaurant supplies and wasn’t available to us. We also couldn’t wash our bikes because there was no hose or equipment. We were told it was either broken or didn’t exist. On our last day, staff started work on the parking area and tried to lift the old ski container with our bikes inside, leaving bikes worth about $10,000 vulnerable to damage. The hotel didn’t deliver on its promises for bikers. I hope they improve these things for future guests.

A cozy, lovely hotel very close to the slopes. The staff were friendly, and the receptionist was amazing. The cleaning lady from Ukraine was very friendly too.

When we arrived, the three of us were put in a very small double room with an extra bed, while our friends paid the same price and got a renovated, very nice triple room. After we checked out and paid everything, they messaged us a week later saying we still owed a bill. We had paid it in cash on our last night, but they claim it wasn’t paid and are still hounding us for money we already gave them. A horrible experience. I would never recommend this place.
