Hotel Stazione

It's a small, neat, casual hotel in a very convenient location. The staff spoke good English and helped us with maps and a taxi. The newly installed elevator made moving luggage easy. Breakfast wasn't much of a spread, just a fresh croissant, the usual cereal, and coffee.

This was the worst place we stayed during our month-long trip in Italy. The beds were awful, and the air conditioner never cooled the room down. Our kids were sweating. We didn't get the rooms we'd paid for, and we were too tired to argue. At checkout, the receptionist was unbelievably rude. Really disappointing and unprofessional.

The room itself was fine, but the man at the desk in the morning was grumpy and very rude to me. I'm a frequent traveler and have never been treated like that at a hotel. I suspect racism may have been a factor, though I can't be sure. The hotel is centrally located, and I wonder if staff sometimes treat guests carelessly because they know new people will keep booking rooms.

I booked this centrally located hotel near the station because I had a very early train to Rome. The gentleman at reception was friendly and spoke good English, so booking was no problem. The reception area is small, clean, and convenient. The rooms are small but serve their purpose. The minibar was well stocked, as was the small coffee and bar area in the hotel.
