Hotel Villa Elle

My checkout was delayed by an hour because of a mix-up. I apologized, but was threatened with legal action. I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. The hotel was dirty, and the train station was nearby. The owner should consider a different line of work.

You can walk to Pietra Ligure beach in 500 meters or to the center of Loano in 1 km, which makes this a handy spot between Loano and Pietra Ligure. Staff were very kind and friendly. Breakfast is included, decent, and acceptable. The rooms are small but have what you need for a stay of no more than 3-4 nights. Mine had air conditioning, a small closet, and French windows opening onto a lovely terrace shared along the neighboring rooms. There's no fridge in the room, but there is a shared one downstairs. In the bathroom, there's a bathtub with a showerhead, a hairdryer, and amenities. I'm giving it 3 stars because the walls are thin, so you hear every little noise, including the train across the street.

The homemade cakes at breakfast were delicious, and there was plenty to eat. Everything was very clean, and the woman there was warm and helpful. We had a really nice stay and would come back. Our one issue was room 5: the terrace is lovely, but it gets sun all day, so we couldn't use it during the daytime. At night there was no light out there, and no way to heat food, as you often can in a B&B. Still, a great place for a two-star hotel.

A fair price for a comfortable stay. Our room was spacious, and the little terrace looked out over the harbor. The staff were tidy, attentive, and discreet. The sea is only a few meters away, with the center not too far either. The train station didn't bother us since the room had air conditioning.
