The location was fantastic, under ten minutes from both Lucca train station and the inner city walls. There's a cute rooftop terrace and a great gelateria just around the corner. The rooms have Tuscan charm and are very comfortable, with good AC for a heatwave. It's a lovely hotel run by a really nice couple, good value, and we'd definitely return.

A quaint, cozy boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood, right by the Lucca walls. Miriam was a wonderful host and shared great ways to explore the city. We found it a highly recommendable place to stay in Lucca and a good base for seeing the surrounding regions too.

Jesus and his wife were wonderful hosts who made us feel at home in Lucca. We really valued their kindness and recommendations, and hope to come back to see them. The hotel is very cute, with lovely rooms just a few minutes' walk from the city center.

We stayed for seven days and enjoyed it. The hotel has an old-style feel but has been renovated in a lovely, modern way, and the owner has taken care with all the details. The old center of Lucca is about a 10-minute walk away, and you're in the heart of Tuscany. By car, it's 30 minutes to the beaches and 45 minutes to both Pisa and Florence.

The owners were great and very helpful, and we couldn't have been happier with our time at TangoHotel. They did a wonderful job renovating this rustic 1400s building, with exposed stone and beams in the rooms. For the price, it's hard to beat. You can easily walk to the train station, old Lucca, and some good local restaurants just beyond the tourist area.
