Residence Lusina

The apartment is pleasant enough, with a little wooden balcony and a panoramic view. But the website photos are misleading. It’s two kilometers from the hotel with the spa, which was included in the price when we arrived and then became an extra charge. They told us about the dog fee after booking: €30 a day, non-refundable. When you bring it up, they offer an aperitif and take €5 off per day. Who knows... There were no bathrobes, slippers, or bath salts as described, though the bath and shower products they did provide were good. The kitchen only has two induction burners, and boiling water for pasta took 25 minutes. I really didn’t like the receptionist’s rudeness when they pointed out that you can’t expect the described services for just €780 for five nights. Change jobs!

The apartments at Residance lusina are spacious and attractive, and they’re part of Hotel Lusernof. The hotel has an unusual layout, with spa areas spread through the garden and woods. The indoor saunas and Turkish bath aren’t very large, but they’re nice and not crowded. Unfortunately, there are no sauna infusions because of Covid. Some special features are the sweat lodge in the woods, a saltwater whirlpool tub filled when you arrive, a sauna by the stream, and a salt cave. There’s also a lovely garden. We really appreciated how different this hotel is. The services and food are available elsewhere for similar prices, but if you love spas, it’s absolutely worth trying.
