Hortensia Garden

The Italian breakfast was generous and had everything we needed, and the rooms were spacious, bright, comfortable, and extremely clean. The property is a lovely villa just steps from central Macerata. Francesco was a wonderful, welcoming host.

My sister and I stayed three nights at Hortensia Garden, choosing it because it’s only a 5-minute walk from the hospital. The shared kitchen was always stocked, and the fresh croissants, desserts, and homemade cakes were delicious. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-appointed. The owner and her mother were kind and helpful from the start. Thanks to them, we’ll recommend this place.

Irene made us feel right at home, and the rooms were perfect and clean. Both Irene and Franchesco treated us very kindly. If you’re coming to Macerata, don’t hesitate to stay here. See you soon, and best regards!

The room was well furnished and looked after, and the price was very good. The property is conveniently placed for the city center and for getting to other places. The owner was professional, but not very welcoming and didn’t say much. He told us we could use breakfast vouchers, then we never saw him again and he didn’t get in touch. Breakfast was all packaged, with very little milk and coffee pods that were mostly barley. The coffee machine wasn’t practical and only worked when it felt like it. Apart from the packaged croissants, everything was counted out. It’s a shame the owner seemed to lack empathy. The place is also convenient if you’re driving to other towns in the Marche region.
